Simon's Cat by Simon Tofield

This is one of my favorite collection of animations as they are not only funny, but feature all the typical characteristics and mannerisms of a cat which you recognize during the films. It is obvious the animator is very observant to behavior and  feel they are simple but very effective.

Dog Walking

This is an extra exercise I did myself in order to practice the movement of walking in animals. This dog was originally going to be in the flower exercise but I later decided to make it an extra exercise. It is my first attempt at making a character walk through drawing (as you can probably tell lol) I am pleased with aspects of the movement but again feel that more frames are needed, particularly before the sequence begins to loop as the jump it too much.

Stretch and Squash 3

I feel this exercise is an improvement from the others,  but still feel it needs more frames to make the movement more fluid.

Stretch and Squash 2

Here is the second exercise for the stretch and squash exercises. For this we had to animate a flower growing from it's seed. I feel it is an improvement on the tap, but not much of one lol. I feel this one needs more frames and character to make it more effective. Don't ask me what type of flower it's suppose to be as I have no idea lol.

Stretch and Squash

The following is my first attempt at animating a tap dripping. As you can tell, it was not the most successful of exercises. It needed more frames in order to make the movement more fluid and to prevent the droplet looking like it's having a fit.

Well, hello there

Hello everyone (except Naomi) here is my first attempt at a blog. Enjoy, I am off to eat pie.
